Seachat LLC,  is sensitive to the private nature of information you provide to us over the Internet. Our privacy practices are designed to maximize your ability to control the use of your personal, private information while at the same time giving you the opportunity to obtain interesting and useful information, products and services.  1.  Seachat Application- Collecting Information

 During installation of Seachat App, you will be asked to provide us with your phone number  to allow us access to your mobile device’s address book. A copy of the phone numbers and names in your address book will be stored on our servers and will only be used to:

 a)Notify you when your contacts become active on Seachat

b) Indicate which of your contacts is already a Seachat user

c) Display the name of contact as it appears in your address book when a call is received

The copy of your address book (names and phones) is stored on a live database. This database does not have any “historical backup”. If you delete the address book from our servers it will be deleted permanently.

 Your phone number, (verified via a text message), will be used for identification purposes as your Seachat user ID.

 2.  Third-Party Sites and Privacy Practices

 You may download the Seachat App from our or another website. In addition, our site may contain links that will let you leave our Site and access another website. Websites linked to or from our Site are not under the control of Seachat and it is possible that these websites have a different privacy policy. Our Policy applies solely to Personal Information that is acquired on the Site or through your use of our Services, and/or your relationship with Seachat. We urge you to be careful when you enter any personal information online. We accept no responsibility or liability for these other websites.

  3.  Sharing and Disclosure of Information

 We do not rent, sell, or share any information about the user with any third-parties. We may disclose your Personal Information if we believe such action is necessary to:

 a) Protect and defend our rights or property (including the enforcement of our agreements)

 b) Comply with the law, or legal process served on us

c) Act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of our services or members of the public.

 In order to provide you with Seachat products you have requested, Seachat may sometimes, if necessary, share your Personal Information (excluding your address book and related information) and traffic data with trusted partner service providers and/or agents, for example: banking organizations or other providers of payment and analytical services, customer support, or hosting services. Seachat will always require these third parties to take appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data and traffic data and to observe the relevant legislation. Seachat will never share your address book information with any third party, except as may be required by law.

 4.  Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

 Some of our Site and Services pages utilize “cookies” and other tracking technologies. A “cookie” is a small text file that may be used, for example, to collect information about Site activity. Some cookies and other technologies may serve to recall Personal Information previously indicated by a user. Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them.

 You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies with your browser, but please note that if you choose to erase or block your cookies, you will need to re-enter certain identifying information should we in the future require such information to gain access to certain parts of the Site and Services.

Nevertheless, Vippie is not liable for any damages resulting from any security breaches, or unauthorized and/or fraudulent use of your Personal Information. Employees and data processors that have access to, and are associated with the processing of your Personal Information, may have access to your Personal Information and usage records, and are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your information.

 Please be sure to keep your userID and password secure since this is necessary to retrieve your previous contact list, should you change phones.

 You have right to view, correct or remove your personal information. For any of this action please support@seachat.com. After verifying your identity we will fulfill your request.

 7.  Changes to Policy

 We reserve the right to update or modify this Policy, or any other of our policies or practices, at any time with or without notice. We will post the revised Policy on the Site and you agree to review the Policy periodically so that you are aware of any modifications. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the Site, the Seachat App, or any of our Services.
